At Gravity MEA, they offer a full line of chemical protective suits and hazmat suits in Dubai and throughout the UAE, with Type 1-6 protection for marine, oil & gas and industrial applications where there is a high risk of exposure to hazardous chemicals, gases and vapours. Gravity MEA’s chemical suit range, supplied by leading international manufacturers such as Dräger, Respirex, DuPont Tychem and Chemprotex, contains three main categories of protection, providing the safety officer with the choice of optimal protection for each hazard scenario.
Gas-tight suits offer the greatest protection possible, covering the entire body and protecting against toxic gases and vapours in the most extreme conditions. This category is anchored by the Dräger CPS series, which offers reusable Type 1a that consists of the CPS 6800, CPS 6900 and the top-range CPS 7900, as well as the disposable gas-tight protection CPS 5900. In addition to this, Respirex’s GTB and GTL ranges provide gas-tight options that are reusable and lightweight: Respirex’s GTB-VBV, GTB Type 1, GTL Gas-Tight Suit, GTL ESD, and the new, improved-durability GTB-ET offer flexibility in strength, weight, and reusability depending on the operational demands.
While not as protective as hazmat overalls in more severe environments, hazmat suits provide wider coverage to protect employees involved in the handling of hazardous materials in industrial environments for decontamination, spill response, and hazardous materials handling in less hazardous conditions.
Splash suits are suitable where full gas-tight encapsulation is not necessary but reliable barrier protection is required, such as for liquid splashes and chemical sprays. An example of this type is the Dräger SPC 2400 PVC Flexothane suit that provides a flexible, disposable splash-tight suit in various configurations for all-day, daily use in industry.
Gravity MEA also offers a range of accessories, like the Dräger Comfort Vest, which improves the wearer’s endurance during work in hot conditions under encapsulating suits, which is important in the case of working shifts in gas-tight protection.
All of Gravity MEA’s suits are chosen to meet certified standards for performance, chemical resistance, and the marine, offshore and industrial environments throughout the region. Gravity MEA’s technical team assists customers to identify the most appropriate level, type and brand of suit based on their chemical hazards and working conditions.
